How does PicoSure® Laser work?
Unlike traditional lasers that use nanosecond technology, PicoSure® uses picoseconds which is a trillionth of a second pulses of short and direct energy (100 x shorter) allowing it to lead straight to the dermal layer and focus solely on the damaged cells.
Its patented Pressure Wave Technology directly targets the specific area and disperses energy. It then forms Pressure Waves to shatter pigment into tiny particles which then turn into smaller particles for the body to naturally expose of the cells. With less heat entering, this is why PicoSure® Laser won’t burn your skin and allow for minimal downtime to none.
